I'm speechless, for once

So, I've been poking around Etsy, looking at all the pretties. While looking at one artist's beads, I clicked on this.

Um...

My brain is simultaneously frozen with shock, but also teeming with questions.

Like, who in the hell thinks of that sort of thing? And, who in the hell thinks glass -- which I'll remind everyone is FRAGILE and therefore BREAKABLE -- is a good idea?

Really, it just boggles the mind.

Seriously!!?? My mind is racing with all the possible things you would have to say in the ER.

By the way, posted about the "box." Need help with the rules for Paying it forward :)

Traci Anne: I SWEAR I was just looking for glass beads (which that woman also sells) and not glass dildos.

It is very pretty. And perfect if you like making embarrassing and painful trips to the emergency room.

GLASS dildo? I burst out laughing, which made Mike come over and look at what I was giggling at.

Boggles the mind is RIGHT.

Though I have to say it IS pretty!! :)

Well.. Holy Mother of God. But it does say *Pyrex*... and that *is* kinda almost totally unbreakable in that shape. So she says. And yeah I am kinda wondering what you were looking for too, lol.

Jennifer (Jen on the Edge) said...

Flutterby: Really, I was looking at the beads and pendants the woman sells and noticed some listings that were labelled "mature" so OF COURSE I had to look.

Pyrex is really, really tough.

Don't ask how I know, but they are also dishwasher-safe.

New reader here, over from blackbird's place.
I wasn't even shocked at this until I saw the PRICE!

Jennifer (Jen on the Edge) said...

Nejyerf: I just checked (for research purposes only): No orange, but there is a red one.

Little Miss Sunshine: Welcome. I KNOW, the prices are insane. I'm only going to say that, in the grand scheme of things, my husband is less expensive and more fun than anything a piece of pyrex could offer.

If only the real thing was that pretty with multi colors and polka dots...

Um, I am speechless, too. Which you know, is nigh on impossible.

Is it oven-safe?

Jennifer (Jen on the Edge) said...

Ree: And why the fuck would you want it to be oven safe? Are you going to heat it up before you use it? Make sure you have oven mitts.

OH yeah, seen those before. And while as a jewelry person I am completely educated on the difference between properly kiln annealed glass and how it's stronger, yadda yadda....

that don't belong up there. nope nope. bad bad no no.

Yeah, UMMMM was about all I could come up with too.

WHY? Why would anyone think that is a good idea?
